Are you facing an unplanned pregnancy? Are you considering making an adoption plan for your baby? Are you considering putting or giving up your baby for adoption or as we prefer to say – place your baby for adoption? Are you looking for an Arizona Adoption Agency? Do you have questions about adoption?

  • Who will raise my baby?

When you choose adoption as your choice for an unplanned or crisis pregnancy, you are making a selfless choice. You are also taking charge of your own life as well as the life of your baby. When placing a baby for adoption, you choose who will adopt your baby. This means that you decide what type of parents you want for your child. You decide what qualities and values are most important to you in a parent. You choose an adoptive family, and it can be based on where they reside, what they do for a living, how many children they have, their religion, favorite sports team or pets they own. The choice is yours. The adoptive parents you choose may even become like an extended family.

  • What if Child Protective Services/ Department of Child Safety are involved?

If you think Child Protective Services/Department of Child Safety will be involved, it is important to begin working on an adoption plan as soon as possible.  If this is the case, before you deliver you, can still make an adoption plan and choose adoptive parents.

  • What do I say to my family, friends and strangers about my adoption plan?

What you decide to say to others about your adoption plan is your choice. Some women want to share their decision with everyone, and others chose to keep it private. Adoption is a beautiful choice, but that doesn’t mean you have to answer questions about you and your baby if you decide otherwise.

  • Can I spend time with the baby in the hospital?

Yes, you can spend all the time with your baby in the hospital. You have the right to hold, feed and spend quality time with the child. However, if you do not want to spend time with the baby in the hospital, you do not have to.

  • If I have used drugs during my pregnancy, can I still make an adoption plan?

Yes, many adoptive families are very open and willing to adopt a baby that has been exposed to drugs while in utero. It’s important to let your adoption agency know what drugs you have used so they can help you find the perfect adoptive family.
